Biography
Danielle’s focus is on “methods” in health research. As the previous Associate Director for the SPOR Methods and Development platform, she has supported researchers in Alberta in terms of methodology. Danielle has provided database support to the Alberta Provincial Project for Outcome Assessment in Coronary Heart Disease (APPROACH) research group for several decades. Danielle also has extensive knowledge of analysis using administrative databases (DAD, NACRS, etc). She brings expertise regarding database management & analysis, particularly in regards to APPROACH in her role as Data Scientist. Her publications have focused on the methodology for collecting and analyzing data.
Danielle is a World Health Organization Family of International Classifications (WHO-fic) Quality and Safety Working Group and Morbidity Reference Group member. As Associate Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre at the University of Calgary, she manages the many projects related to the WHO family of classifications' classifications, terminologies, and standards.
